Description
North Cliffe is a mosaic of habitats, woodlands mainly of ash and birch which dominate the site. With both wet and dry areas of woodland being home to an array of woodland species, including Great Spotted Woodpecker, Marsh Tit, and Eurasian Treecreeper. In the centre of the site there is a small area of lowland heath. In recent years this has been colonised by a population of Wood Lark whose call adds to the chorus of Garden Warbler, Common Chiffchaff, and Willow Warbler present in spring and summer.
