Description
Pegwell Bay is considered a nature reserve of international importance as it is home to a range of seashore birds and wildlife found nowhere else in East Kent. Lots of rare and common birds including: Western Marsh Harrier, Little Egret, Eurasian Spoonbill, Reed Bunting, Linnet, Dunlin, Common Shelduck, Red-legged Partridge, Avocet, Eurasian Wigeon. And occasionally Eurasian Hoopoe and Great Grey Shrike.

You can park in the car park (click on the P in the map to go there directly) where there is also a cafe and toilets and the best way to explore the area is by foot. There is a bird hide, which is accessible for disabled visitors.
