Description

Pilning Wetland is very good for waders at most times including Dunlin, Eurasian Curlew, Common Snipe, Sanderling and sandpipers. Geese and dabbling ducks all year, especially in winter. Two Black-winged Stilt here in 2021.

Access

A403 northward from Avonmouth or southward from M48 Aust services, junction one. Take B4055 Redwick turning, then right over M4. plenty of roadside parking in New Passage Road. Reserve is a short walk across fields. As of 2021 reconstruction of the seawall meant parts of the reserve were off limits. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 2,5 km.
