Description
Soudley Ponds has resident Common Kingfisher, Grey Wagtail, Mandarin Duck, Little Grebe and Long-tailed Tit. Small birds attend the feeder in the top car park, including Eurasian Nuthatch and Great Spotted Woodpecker. Roe deer and wild boar are in the area.
A short climb up to Blaize Bailey gives one a panoramic view of the Severn estuary. Here a telescope may reveal soaring raptors or flocks of migrants . The walks marked on the map total three and a half kilometres.

Access
The Soudley Ponds are three miles south of Littledean or Cinderford. Parking is free in the top car park or at the Dean Heritage Centre. Click on a P in the map to get directions.
