Description
On the island of Tiree 133 bird species have been seen. The freshwater Loch a'Phuill attracts waders such as Spotted Redshank, Dotterel, Common Greenshank and Common Sandpiper. In the dunes there may be Lapland Bunting, Snow Bunting, Corn Crake, Short-eared Owl or Grasshopper Warbler. The cliffs at Ceann a Mhara are a useful seawatch point in autumn and have breeding Common Guillemot, Razorbill, Northern Fulmar, Kittiwake, European Shag and perhaps Peregrine Falcon or Red-billed Chough.

Access
Tiree is reached by ferry from the mainland, or by air from Glasgow. The loch and cliffs are accessed from Barrapol or Balephuil in the island's SW corner.
