Description
Whitmoor Common is an open heathland surrounded by forest. The heathland has various birds including European Stonechat and a small population of Dartford Warbler. In summer evenings, Eurasian Nightjar and sometimes Eurasian Woodcock can be found. The surrounding forests can get birds including Eurasian Treecreeper, Eurasian Jay, Eurasian Green Woodpecker, and other common forest birds. To the east, a walk around Britton's Pond can get various waterfowl species as well.

Access
Whitmoor Common is located just north of Guildford. There are two car parks, one for the forest and heathland and one for Britten's Pond. Click on a P in the map for directions to a parking. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 2 miles.
