Description
Sawgrass Lake Park is a 400-acre park known for its extensive maple swamp, which is one of the largest on the Gulf Coast. The oaks in the parking lot attract a lot of migrants in the spring and fall. Specifically, Cerulean Warbler is reported at this location every August and September. Short-tailed Hawk is also a frequent sight over the parking lot.
There is also boardwalks that run through the wetter areas of the park. Along the boardwalk is an observation tower that looks over Sawgrass Lake. At the lake, several wetland birds can be found like Anhinga and Green Heron.

Sawgrass Lake Park is located at 25th Street North in St. Petersburg. Parking is at the end of 25th Street North. Press P on the map for directions. The park is open daily from 7 a.m. to sunset.
