Perrine, Teresa, Damon and Alexis win Leica binoculars

The Leica binoculars Winter Promotion - which we organized together with Leica from November to April - generated a huge response. More than 1200 new areas were added to Birdingplaces. Thank you Leica and all participants! And keep adding nice birding areas!

And the winners are...

The winner of the Leica Trinovid 10x25 compact binoculars is Teresa Brás from Portugal. “Exploring nature abroad became an exciting way to discover new surroundings and bird species. A friend tipped me on Birdingplaces, and it's been a game-changer ever since. Whenever I have free time, I can find a birding hotspot practically on my doorstep. Now, with my new Leica binoculars, the experience is simply incredible. Every feather and detail comes into sharp focus, making bird identification a joy!”

The winner of the Leica Trinovid 10x32 HD binoculars is Perrine Laurent from Belgium. “I discovered Birdingplaces through social media. As a photographer I am always looking for new areas to explore and Birdingplaces has become a very practical and easy to use tool for me. In addition to my camera, good binoculars are essential for my nature expeditions, so I am very happy with the Leica Trinovid binoculars that I won. Very good quality, light weight and a brilliant clear image.”

The winner of the Leica Trinovid 10x42 HD binoculars is Alexis Revillon from France. “I learned about Birdingplaces through word of mouth. What I like about Birdingplaces is its user-friendliness, which allows you to find information in a simple and efficient way. I use Birdingplaces to introduce birdwatching sites in my region to local birdwatchers who are just starting out and looking for good birding spots, as well as to share them with experienced naturalists. I first used the Leica Trinovid during a birding trip in the south of France to observe vultures and in particular the Bearded Vulture. As a professional ornithologist, having a pair of Leica binoculars of such optical quality is essential to effectively carry out my missions to protect the threatened birds in my region.”

The winner of the Leica Noctivid 10x42 binoculars is Damon Groot from Sweden. “I stumbled upon Birdingplaces through social media when it was still in its infancy and immediately fell in love with the idea. I noticed that there were no entries around my hometown and went to work straight away to fix that issue. Now every time I travel somewhere I always check Birdingplaces for tips. And when I visit a great birding location that isn’t on the website, I make sure to add it. This gives me great joy as it is a simple way for me to contribute to the larger birding community. The Leica Noctivid binoculars are absolutely amazing and the best I have ever held in my hands! The clarity and focus, even at great distances is truly stunning and still has me as baffled now as when I tried them for the first time. Many thanks to Birdingplaces and Leica for these wonderful binoculars.”

We congratulate all winners on winning a pair of Leica top binoculars! And if you didn't win yourself, you did help other birders by sharing your knowledge and great birding areas and we are very grateful for that. Thanks again everyone for participating!
