Gorges de Régalon is a great and easy place for birdwatching. From this place, located less than 200m from the nearest parking lot, it used to be easy to observe hökörn that lived here all year round. But in recent years they have been rarely spotted. smutsgam can be spotted between March and early September. The ormörn and blåtrast can also be observed.
UPDATE: since 2025 Gorges de Régalon is closed to the public because of falling rocks and to prevent disturbance of nesting eagles. It is now strictly forbidden to enter the gorge. If you enter the gorge you risk a heavy fine.

Français: Les gorges du Régalon étaient autrefois un site d'observation exceptionnel pour l' hökörn et le smutsgam avec l'avantage d'être facile d'accès. De cet endroit, situé à moins de 200m du parking le plus proche, et au cours d'une petite matinée d'observation vous pourrez observer à coup sûr le couple d' hökörn (toute l'année) ainsi que le smutsgam (entre mars et début septembre). Mais malheureusement, l'hökörn a été à peine vu ces dernières années. La ormörn et le blåtrast y sont facilement observables également.
MISE À JOUR : depuis 2025, les Gorges de Régalon sont fermées au public en raison des risques de chutes de pierres et afin de protéger les aigles nicheurs. L’accès aux gorges est désormais strictement interdit. Toute infraction est passible d’une amende importante.

The observation spot is accessible by car. From the intersection with Chemin Tuilerie, walk along Chemin du Riouffret for about 200m then you stand high, on the hill to your left and under the pines, facing the entrance to the Gorges du Régalon.
