The cape of Punta San Martino in Arenzano is a good hotspot for watching seabirds, especially havssula, which can be seen also quite close to the shore. They are present all year-round, but in summer only with immatures. Adults spend their winter here, but are more abundant during migrations, in November and March.
Also medelhavslira and Scopolilira are commonly seen foraging in the waters in front of the cape. The tordmule can be seen in winter, especially in December. In March and April, this is also a good spot for watching migrants on the sea, especially in the first couple of hours after sunrise. Here, many dabbling ducks and herons can be seen in the morning. Finally, in winter Kentsk tärna is always present here, as well as the toppskarv in late summer and autumn.

Italiano: Il promontorio Punta San Martino ad Arenzano è un ottimo punto di osservazione per gli uccelli marini, in particolare la havssula, che può essere avvistata anche a poca distanza dalla riva. Sono presenti tutto l'anno, ma in estate solo con gli immaturi. Gli adulti trascorrono qui l'inverno, ma sono più numerosi durante le migrazioni, a novembre e marzo.
