The mouth of the Riera de Ribes stream can be found at the end of the seafront in Sitges. The most interesting ornithological aspect of the site are the seabirds, with interesting species like rödnäbbad trut, svarthuvad mås, Kentsk tärna, toppskarv, and havssula. Some rarer species that can be seen are the Gulnäbbad lira, medelhavslira and balearisk lira. In winter småskrake has been seen several years.
In the reeds cettisångare, rörsångare, helenaastrild, Sävsparv, and sammetshätta can be heard and seen. Aquatic species like gräsand, Silkeshäger, Kohäger, gråhäger and kungsfiskare are present in the water course.
Close to the mouth of Riera de Ribes is the Golf Club Terramar, and the greens are good to look for birds like svarthakad buskskvätta, ängspiplärka, svart rödstjärt, and Härfågel.
