Beskrivning
Along the lane close to the carpark pilfink are quite common, one of the few places in Cheshire. Unusual waterfowl may be found on any of the large lakes, however a telescope is recommended as views can be quite distant. brunand, knipa, storskrake are likely in winter, nilgås can be quite frequent, and if lucky, unusual species such as bläsgås or svarthalsad dopping can occasionally show up.
The woods, forest and field hedgerow adjacent to the lakes are a good place to find the common tits and finches. All 3 wood peckers are reported, större hackspett quite frequent, Gröngöling occasional, mindre hackspett rarely. Large flocks of bofink can occur, as well as steglits, grönfink and an occasional bergfink.
