Stone Point offers a good vantage point over the River Colne with species such as småskrake flying in and out of the Estuary. In the bushes and muddy areas you can find svarthakad buskskvätta, Sävsparv and skärpiplärka during the winter and if you are lucky snösparv. The saltmarsh and beach are good places to watch prutgås, sandlöpare, kustsnäppa, kärrsnäppa, större strandpipare, rödbena, skärfläcka, storspov, kustpipare, rödspov and myrspov at close range during the winter. The area can be busy with visitors so early or late visits can be productive.
