Gronant has 200 pairs of breeding småtärna and some Kentsk tärna and fisktärna. Several wader species, tornfalk, Tornuggla, sjöorre, sånglärka and hämpling. On the 4 ha Big Pool reserve there are Sävsparv, rörsångare, trädkrypare, forsärla, grå flugsnappare, grönsiska and vattenrall. Sand lizards, natterjack toads, pyramid orchids, sea holly, sea purslane and other wildflowers can be found in the dunes.
