Beskrivning
Around the Fish Quay in Hartlepool gulls hang around, especially on the roof. Often joined in winter by Vitvingad trut and vittrut. In the harbour entrance ejder, smålom, svartnäbbad islom and sillgrissla can often be seen. Sea watching by the lighthouse can produce a large variety of gulls, ducks, auks, terns, skua’s and shearwaters at various times of the year. The rocks along side the promenade are home to skärsnäppa, strandskata and roskarl that winter in Hartlepool bay.
