Beskrivning
The Ivinghoe Hills area is a mixture of open downland pasture, deciduous woodland and arable farmland. A variety of passerines, raptors and seasonal passage migrants will be seen. It's best viewed as part of a visit to the wider area.

NejExtra information
Although the best views are from Ivinghoe Beacon, this isn't a good birding place - it's far better to inspect the open woodland on the slopes or the denser woodland south of the road.
There's no shelter apart from trees and the hilltops can be particularly exposed, so wear appropriate clothing and take refreshments, especially drinks. There are no public toilets, and privacy cannot be expected on open ground. However, facilities are available by the National Trust at the Bridgewater Monument.
From time to time, scarcities and rarities will be present. For information, especially during migration, check the local birdwatching websites.
