Llandegla Forest is one of the few places in Wales to see orre lekking. The RSPB have a hide and as of 2022, guided walks, see their website. Among the other birds you can observe in the area are nattskärra, Dalripa, ängspiplärka, jorduggla, stenfalk, svarthakad buskskvätta, buskskvätta, gök, taltrast, Gröngöling, ormvråk, röd glada, blå kärrhök and stenskvätta.
