Beskrivning
NWT Ranworth Broad is accessible to all and boasts a great visitor centre (which is open in the spring and summer) with wide views over Ranworth Broad. The broad (lake) itself offers chances to see skäggdopping, kungsfiskare and brun kärrhök throughout the year, while the boardwalk trail supports entita, domherre and vattenrall may also be heard.
In winter, the broad will be busy with feeding wildfowl including bläsand, Kricka, Skedand, stjärtand and a few vigg. In periods of harsh weather, rördrom, bergand and other scarcer species may be seen. The alder trees on the trail from the car park may hold good numbers of grönsiska and brunsiska.
In summer, there is a chance of seeing a flyover Fiskgjuse, but more likely, there will be plenty of fisktärna feeding over the broad. Large gatherings of ladusvala, hussvala and backsvala may also be seen. Listen out for the songs of gransångare, sävsångare, rörsångare and even a gök along the boardwalk trail.
